THE STORY OF THIS FILM IN A NUTSHELL:

It is a fantastic film that portrays the present trend of involvement of politics in the field of sports. It also indirectly portrays the present competitive trend that prevails in all the fields in the second most populous country of the world.  Here a competent and deserving cricket player is neglected by the involvement of political influence and he is forced to face several disasters in his life. Jeeva who has lost his mother, lives with his drunkard father.  Jeeva was highly attracted towards Cricket from his childhood onwards but his father comes as hinderer for it as he wants his son to get a government job.  In this situation, Jeeva’s  neighbourer loves him too much and treats him as his own child. He offers Cricket bat and ball whenever Jeeva needs them and in this way, he encourages him to a great extent. As he became very famous in his school team, the couch suggests him to join in the recognized cricket club so that he can easily in the Indian Cricket Team. It was utterly rejected by his father, and he has been advised to concentrate only on his studies. In the meanwhile, Jeeva falls in love with Je4nni who lives near to his house. When it reaches to jenni’s parents, there develops a massive explosion and jinni has been sent to a town. Jeeva became frustrated and develops the habit of drinking to forget his love affair.  As he has been addicted with drinking, his father joins him in his favorite cricket club so as to free himself from his addiction of drinking. Now he gets a new friend Ranjith. With the slogan of “to do or die” both of them are engaging in rigorous practice and become very famo0us players.  Though both of them get the opportunity of being selected in the Ramjet Trophy Match and excelled in the match, they are forced to meet with several hardships and both of them are not selected in subsequent matches due to various factors such as caste, creed, religion, and region that influence the selection committee.

Java’s role as a fine cricketer is superb.  His style of batting brings home the spectators to witness a real cricketer.

When his father noticed him collecting the balls in the cricket ground, the way he behaves shows some unpleasant feelings.

As he feels “career is superior to love” and spends most of his time in the cricket ground is a good lesion for the youths. The youths should learn the fact that “Rome is not built in a day” and one should work hard to be successful

The climax of the film is to find out whether Jeeva gets a place in the Indian cricket Team and marries his lady love or not.
